Prof. Kerry Haynie of Duke University, USA, returns to CALS, along with Prof. Ralph Lawrence of Policy and Development, UKZNThe visit involves a select group of twelve juniors (3rd year undergraduates) who will be spending a semester on a programme called Duke Immerse. The variation that Prof Kerry Haynie (Duke) and Prof Ralph Lawrence are running they have termed `Governance, Policy and Social Justice: urban politics in the American South and South Africa’. The three courses and the research project cover both settings. Their time in Pietermaritzburg and Durban has been organised with this in mind.
